It all started with musical theatre.
Since I was 3, I have expressed my emotions through song and dance. For over 20 years, I have performed with theatre companies and universities across the Metro-Atlanta area. I love the feeling of collaborating with others to tell a beautiful story. I'm also really funny. At least, I think so.
My Favorite Musical Right Now: SIX
With the halt of live theatre during COVID, my artistic outlet, social support, and opportunities for creative problem-solving vanished overnight. I was literally about to enter tech rehearsals for Cabaret. During isolation, I turned to photography to sustain my health and to connect with my struggling theatre community. I bought my camera with my first stimulus check.
To me, photography feels like theatre.
Over the past 3 years, I have built my skills, knowledge, and experience to extend my photography services to others. I prioritize in providing accessible spaces for all to pursue creativity and I advocate for equity, inclusion, and diversity in education, mental health, and art.
I've got a spicy brain and photography benefits my mental, physical, and social health. So really, we are helping each other and that makes me smile.
I love learning and I'm really good at being a teacher.
People are important to me.
I hold a B.A. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Health and Physical Education, and have post-graduate credits towards my Ed.S. in Instructional Technology. I enjoy collaborating with my professional and personal community to develop engaging health resources and events.
I offer coaching for teachers looking to improve skills related to remote learning, classroom management, and stakeholder communication.
